My goal is to play around with vectorized waveforms for experiments with optical sound. While it is possible to print pdf files there are some downers at least with my machine: Mac OS X Yosemite, Audacity 2.4.2. What i’d like to get is a nice and smooth detailed curve. Which somehow works but e.g. a sine waveform looks more or less distorted. I did some tests with the print format (e.g. 80x3cm) and also with the rate (16000Hz… 8000Hz), but the waveform always looks not too promising. Ok, the shorter the sample, the better the vector. The strength of Audacity of course is Audio. But is there a way to print smooth waveforms?
Thanks
Dominik
