Hi, I’ve researched the topics on WAVE STATS and know that I really need this plug in. However, every time I try to download it on my windows laptop I can see it has downloaded at 3kb but it just sits in my downloads folder and nothing happens. It is not appearing in plug-in manager. Occasionally my downloads action will ask if I want to open the file with word which I clearly dont.
Can someeone advise me on next steps please.

This may be a 32-bit plugin while Audacity is a 64-bit program and the two do not talk together. There is a 32-bit version of Audacity available that may work with your plugin: Audacity ® | Download for Windows
Note that the 64-bit version of Audacity is downloaded by default.
If that’s “stats.ny” it’s a Nyquist plug-in and 32/64 bits doesn’t matter.
You can simply copy the .ny file into your plug-ins folder
( C:\Program Files\Audacity\Plug Ins ).
Or you can use the Nyquist installer (instructions here).
Then Wave Stats should show up under the Analyze menu.
Oh my goodness - thank you soooo much.
I have now simply moved the downloaded file to the plug in’s folder, re-scanned, and hey presto its there AND WORKING.
