Win7. Audacity 2.0.0 - Can Audacity be used to make all the tracks in my music library be of equal volume?
You can import a bunch of files and Normalize them http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/normalize.html but this only makes the loudest part of each file at the level you choose. The processed files may not “sound” equally loud.
To make all files “sound” equally loud you want to normalize them based on something like “average loudness” or the “ReplayGain” algorithm but Audacity doesn’t support this yet.
