When recording, and I play it back, my voice sounds degraded and I sound kind of like a robot. When I plug my head set into the mixer everything sounds great. My recordings just sound terrible. Any tips?

Recording on the computer may seem to be simple and inexpensive, but sometimes it can be rough to get the machine to stop helping you. That talking into a wine glass thing can be the automatic noise reduction and echo cancellation.
This process can get so bad that one of the recommendations is stop using the computer to record your voice.
