I have used this great program on and off for a few years. I’ve recently bought a new computer (Lenovo Windows 10) and downloaded the newest version (I believe 2.4.2) a couple of days ago. When I record a voice over track, it plays back slower (like slowing down an analog tape) and I can’t figure out why.
To make sure, I’ve tried it on two other machines (HP’s Windows 10) and the same result. What am I missing?
Did you use the same microphone each time? Does that microphone have a “favorite” sampling rate such as 48000 and is it different from your show sampling rate, such as 44100? That error may sound like someone dragging their finger on a record.
I’m not in front of it right now, nor have I tried to time the track. I’m a bit of a novice at the technical so I’ll read up on what it is that you’ve said.
What’s confusing to me is why it’s happening in the first place? My older version didn’t do this and at first I thought it was my new computer. But I downloaded it on a work machine that is relatively new as well and had the same problem.
I’ll give it a try and keep you posted, thanks again for the assistance.
Select the whole track with the button on the left. Effect > Change Speed > Multiplier 1.088 > OK. Is that more normal?
Yes, it’s definitely mor normal sounding
What is the microphone and how is it connected? What is the sampling rate?
