I’d like to know if there is any software that I can use to detect voice in my recordings. I have hundreds of recordings in different formats, and in most of them the only valuable part is the voice part. However, many of them are hours long and only contain a few minutes, or even seconds, of voice.
Until now I have been detecting the voice manually. I open the file in the Spectrogram view and visually look for voice waveforms. This method works but it’s very time consuming. I’m looking for software that does it automatically and marks the voice parts or something similar. I ask in this forum because Audacity is the only audio editor I use, so the best solution would be a plugin for Audacity with that functionality. However, if that doesn’t exist (which seems to be the case), I would be interested in any other software.
Apparently there is only one other thread about VAD in the forum, and it has been inactive for years: https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/implementing-a-vad-in-audacity/9140/1
