Only very adjacent to Audacity but could anyone recommend a similar freeware video-editing program like Audacity?
I’m looking for cut-and-paste, subtitle adding and soundtrack facilities
I’m not at all bothered about a logo as long as it’s not plastered all over the screen like Movavi
TIA
Thanks for replying. I ought maybe to have mentioned that I’m running W10 as an operating system, and iMovie appears to be only for Macs
Oh sorry, I did not know that there are any other operating systems than macOS…
Still plenty of us peasants around touching our forelocks to Mr Gates, accorring to my website stats
I found a list.
…I have a lot of freeware audio/video “utilities” but I’ve only used commercial video editors (Coral VideoStudio and Cyberlink Power Director).
Subtitles should be pretty standard but if you want closed captions (that you can turn-off) that’s a feature of DVD & Blu-Ray discs and it has to be done with disc authoring software.
Thanks for that. It’s just explicative subtitles for viewers that will be permanently visible
I’ve been using Shotcut for a couple of years. What I like specifically is the very helpful an friendly community, where also the main developers are present. Quite frequently I saw a how-to request result in a new or improved feature in one of the frequent updates.
REAPER is a perfect audio and video editor.
