Very distorted audio from using the laptop microphone during a videocall

Hi

So I have a problem - I made an audio recording during a videocall using the laptop microphone - now I can hear myself perfectly, but not the other person - the ambient sound of the computer are blurring what the other person said, and when I make it louder, it sometimes becomes pitched that makes it painful to listen to

The strange thing is, one minute towards the end is perfectly audible, but the rest is, like I said, practically inaudible through the sounds of the computer and feedback of the microphone

Is there something I can do?

It’s probably too late to fix it now… :frowning:

Are you on a cell phone trying to record the speakerphone? There are call recording apps.

A likely cause is Windows “Enhancements” which sometimes try to filter-out the background noise.

thank you  alright - I haven’t used the laptop mic to record since, using my phone does work better. Should I try to turn off the Windows Enhancement and listen if the Audio changes then?

I was referring to the “enhancements” applied during recording. They can be turned-off in in the future but they have already fouled-up the recording you already made,

thank you :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: this means I can finally stop going mad over filters XD
