Hi, I am running Windows 8.1 and Audacity 2.1.0 obtained through the .exe installer. Am running in 64 bit mode. I read a review on Tom Baran’s Autotalent & how it could be used via the Ladspa support. I’ve loaded the Ladspa (picked up a whole bunch of plug-ins on the way), but Audacity plugins manager does not seem to know Autotalent is there. I suspect I probably have not unpacked the Linux file properly, but I thought that was the point of Ladspa. Had anyone else out there attempted to use this plug in on a Windows system, or can give me a steer on this?
I am not sure what you did, but the LADSPA-swh plugins Audacity download latest version do not include Autotalent.
You can’t use the source code of AutoTalent unless you are prepared to compile it into a binary, and there is no Windows binary of the original LADSPA version of Autotalent, as far as I know.
Therefore you need to install the VST port of Autotalent from http://www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?plugin=Autotalent&id=842. See here for how to install VST plugins: Audacity Manual.
There is only a 32-bit version of the VST Autotalent, but note that even though you are on a 64-bit version of Windows, Audacity is 32-bit, so it will not see 64-bit versions of plugins in any format.

Ok, I thought the latest version of Audacity was 64 bit capable. You are correct in pointing out that Autotalent is not one of the “bundled” plugins with ladspa: I downloaded the linux version of Autot. because the information page said that it was possible for this to work in a windows environment, but without explaining how complex it might be to achieve!. I have downloaded a VST plugin from another provider so the easiest course seems to be to go with that, at present. What I would like is something that can clean up the pitching of stringed instruments rather than produce robot voices, but heigh ho!
Oh, & Autotalent does now have 64 bit capability: http://tombaran.info/autotalent.html.
