Using Sound Activation to split tracks

Is there a procedure to follow to split a recording into multiple tracks using sound activation? I’ve poked around the manual; but, I haven’t found any. Perhaps, it’s there; and, I’m missing it.

I use sound activation successfully to start and stop recording [I’m currently digitizing my entire vinyl collection;] but then, I have to sift through the digitized recording to identify the various tracks and export using the Export Selection option. It would be very convenient to set the sound activation higher or lower as the case may be to have the recording process automatically subdivide the input and extract the individual tracks from a 33 1/3 rpm vinyl recording.

Thanks!

It would, wouldn’t it?
The problem with vinyl is the space between tracks isn’t silent. It has pops, clicks and cat hairs in it.

Analyze > Silence Finder
Analyze > Sound Finder.
