I’m interested in how people use Audacity for educational projects such as recorded lectures, presentations, podcasts, interviews, and study materials.
Audacity seems useful for improving voice recordings, reducing background noise, removing unwanted sections, and making educational audio easier to understand. At The Academic Papers UK, we work with academic and learning-related content, so I’m interested in how good audio can also support students and online learning.
For teachers, students, or anyone creating educational recordings, which Audacity features do you find most useful?
When I am watching a presentation I take notes with my Inq pen. It has a camera near the point that records what I write, and can play it back with an app on my phone and on their website which transcribes it to digital text.
It can also record audio in the pen and synchronize my writing with the recordeding, so I can go directly to the part of the speech where I took each note.
I can download the audio files, which I could load into Audacity and transcribe with the OpenVINO plug-in, but so far I have never tried that.
