Audacity on Mac. Approximately one hour of audio was recorded directly into an Audacity project. The recording was copied/pasted twice, so three instances existed and played correctly. All three were accidentally deleted. The remaining first-hour recording was exported as an MP3, but the Audacity working project was apparently never saved as an AUP3. The original project/window containing the deleted audio was then closed and Audacity was reopened. SessionData subsequently contained an approximately 1.28 GB .aup3unsaved file, but that appears to have belonged to the newly opened session and SessionData is now empty. Is there any possibility of recovering the deleted original temporary Audacity project/audio from macOS storage?
Are you running Time Machine?
No, unfortunately not.
