Upgrade old Pink Floyd bootleg

I want to edit an old bootleg of Pink Floyd to make it look like a studio recording.

How does that work with audacity, with which plugins?

No audio software can turn a pig’s ear into a silk purse.

It may be possible to make the sound seem closer, as if it were recorded on stage rather than among the audience.

Can match the EQ … https://youtu.be/GNqfyAa1jxk&t=364
but that does not remove reverb or distortion.

EQ is probably your best tool.

Noise reduction probably won’t be of much help.

…There’s a reason pros still record in soundproof studios with good equipment and good-careful mic placement, etc.

BUT MAYBE “soon” AI will be able to do it…

I’m not following it that closely but from what I’ve been reading AI can do things like make (artificial) Johnny Cash sing a Lady Gaga song. If it can do that… Create a song out of examples & “ideas”… It should be able to make a new clean version of an amateur recording.

But can you make a silk purse out of “Pigs (Three Different Ones)”?

(For non-Pink Floyd fans, that’s a song from their “Animals” album.)
