I have tried to update my audacity version 3.2.3 Help> updates> unable to connect to audacity update server. Then I tried to trash this version but was unable to thinking I would just start over. If there is a simple solution I would like to try it. If not I will have to use another audio app. Please help.

Just download it from the website audacityteam.org and install. However, “check for updates” works perfectly here.

If you want to fully “purge” Audacity from you computer, see … https://support.audacityteam.org/troubleshooting/resetting-audacity . Otherwise settings can persist from one version to the next.
