uniinstalling Audacity - remaining files need to be uninstalled manually

Audacity for Windows v2.4.2 Windows 10, 64 bit with 16gb memory

Can someone tell me the following?

  1. To upgrade to new version of Audacity, should old version need to be unintalled?

  2. If so, Windows uninstall program leave some files that need to be uninstalled manually. Can I simply go to Program Files (x86) and install all the remaining folders?

It is recommended to uninstall older versions of Audacity when upgrading from Audacity 2.x to Audacity 3.x.

hello steve

tk u for your comments.

How about the folder/files that are left inside Progam Files (x86), should they be deleted manually?
