Unbalanced Stereo Channel Recording

Good morning,
I recently purchased a USB Microphone for Voiceovers. When I first started to record (on a stereo track) everything was recording balanced. The next day when I started to record I found that the Left Channel was recording, but only just barely. The right channel was picking up perfectly. I contacted the microphone manufacture, and they wrote the following:
The microphone recording is a single channel, you can use the software to process the audio to two channels.
What has happened to led up to my current situation? Can it be adjusted?
Thank you,
Christopher

A single voice or instrument or a single microphone is mono (1-channel). But, everything is mono/stereo compatible so a true mono recording will play through both speakers. (Of course, it’s also possible to make stereo track with the same sound in both sides.)

To fix your recording (make it true mono) -
Click the little drop-down arrow to the left of the waveform and select Split Stereo to Mono.
Now, you’ll have two little windows to the left of the waveforms and you can click the “X” to delete the “bad” channel.

For future recordings change Recording Channels to 1 (Mono) Recording Channel.
