Unable to view multiple tracks in .mogg files

Hi everyone. I’ve got several .mogg files that I’ve used before, but I’m unable to see all of the tracks on a clean install of Audacity on macOS. I’ve installed and located ffmpeg, but it didn’t make a difference. When I open the files, I only see a single track in the editor:

Do I need to do anything else to see the rest? Thanks in advance

Same problem here with with Audacity 3.6.1 on MacOS 10.13.6. But an older installation of Audacity, 2.4.1, works well on the same machine (it imports the mogg as separate tracks).

I don’t know if it may be related, but the reported FFmpeg Library Version differs on both:

  • For Audacity 3.6.1: F(57.71.100),C(57.89.100),U(55.58.100)
  • For Audacity 2.4.1: F(55.33.100),C(55.52.102),U(52.66.100)

Though both take the files from the same directory, I haven’t been able to make both use the same versions

I had to install older Audacity 3.5.1 to fix this. Opening multi-track mogg files is broken since 3.6.0 (at least on macOS).

I logged a bug about this: Opening Multi-track OGG files (.mogg) is broken since 3.6.0 · Issue #7025 · audacity/audacity · GitHub
