Unable to record using my Traktor Kontrol S4 Mk3 "Invalid Sample Rate"

So I’ve been trying to record my mixes outside of the Traktor internal record function because I use beatport link and it wont let you record when using those songs, I’m not trying to pirate anything I just want to listen to myself to see where I could improve, what sounds good together etc.

I cant get anything with mme and when I use WASAPI I get error code 9997 Invalid Sample Rate. My device is set at 44100 so that doesn’t make any sense to me, is there something else I can try or is there a setting in windows that will fix this?
here is the details of the error code if that will help you help me

TRAKTOR KONTROL S2 MK3 / S4 MK3 uses “WASAPI Exclusive mode” (https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000520317-I-Cannot-Find-the-ASIO-Driver-for-My-TRAKTOR-KONTROL-S2-MK3-S4-MK3-S3-Windows-)
When WASAPI is used in exclusive mode, no other application can use the sound card. (https://www.thewelltemperedcomputer.com/KB/WASAPI.htm)

On some computers, this issue can be also be caused by a mono/stereo mismatch.

Another thing to check: Under WindowsKey > R, “mmsys.cpl”, you can check (on both the Playback and Recording tabs), , Advanced tab > Default Format.

Have you tried rebooting?
