So I recorded a voiceover for a video about a week ago, saved it to my usb drive, and between transfers it corrupted. It’s happened before and I’ve managed to resolve it with various recovery programs, but this time NOTHING is working that I have found. The center issue seems to be that even after recovering it from the corrupted file void, the error of “unable to parse project information” appears. I’ve been researching for a couple hours trying to resolve it, and any method to resolve it is from years ago and either has gone out of date or I am not doing right. I have tried the official audacity corruption repair, the db thing, and begging to my laptop, all of which led me to the same place I started. Here’s the official error, if anyone needs anything else let me know and I will show, I am desperate for this file so anything helps.

I’ve tried everything I know using the Audacity project recovery tools but cannot recover a complete intact project. All I could do was extract the sample blocks which are 3362 individual 1MB WAV files. You would somehow have to reassemble them. I don’t know how. Let me know if you want me to send you back those samples.
Picking up on a point in your original post about saving to USB, if you mean saving your working project directly to USB then NEVER do that. Always save to an internal hard drive and copy later if you need to.
thank you so much for trying, and it can’t hurt to send the bits over, I’ll see what I can find to stitch them together, as for future learning I will begin sticking to hard drive more, I’ve been putting off a storage cleanse for a while but its time to face the music (and my absurd downloads folder)
I have sent you the folder with the recovered sample blocks inside via SwissTransfer. I sent a private message with the download link for you to retrieve it. Good luck gluing it back together again.
EVILMRB I OWE YOU EIGHTEEN DONKEYS FOR THIS so for anyone reading this you will have to figure out how evilmrb found these sample blocks but once you do there will be (at least for my 3 hour video) 4000 blocks to piece together one at a time, however they are numbered in order so it is just a matter of putting on a movie (todays was good luck, have fun, don’t die) and getting it DONE. evilmrb i thank you from the BOTTOM of my heart, i am no where near a massive youtuber but if you dont mind i would LOVE to do a goofy little thank you to you at the start of the video, because you have genuinely saved something I was incredibly proud of and very hurt to lose. Totally ok if you don’t want it, but regardless thank you, everyone listen to them, they are smart.
