Hi. I’ve been using Audacity for a while and I love it. But for some reason, two days ago (after downloading the latest update) I lost the ability to move a part of a track to better sync-up the sound with existing tracks.
I right click to split, as always. Then after left-clicking to Left-drag the selected segment, it refuses to move. I also cannot lengthen a selected track section (though it still allows me to shorten one).
What happened?

Try selecting all track go to tracks>align>align end to end
This will organize tracks so when one finishes next one begins.
