Unable to import AAC files? [SOLVED]

I “successfully” installed ffmpeg v2.2.2 and located the “avformat-55.dll” file in Audacity’s library preferences. I believe I
followed the instructions carefully but still can’t import an AAC file into Audacity. Maybe somebody can point out where
I messed up in the following steps that I used. Attached is a copy of the diagnistic log file that is over my head.

  1. Edit → Preferences → Libraries.
  2. Click on “FFmpeg library” download button.
  3. Click on “Download” under “Windows” heading.
  4. Click on “ffmpeg-win-2.2.2.exe” → Save.
  5. Close Audacity.
  6. Browse to save location → double-click on the downloaded file,
    “ffmpeg-win-2.2.2.exe” → Run → OK → Next → Next. Choose
    default location:

C:Program Files (x86)ffmpeg for Audacity

  1. Next → Install.
  2. Finish → re-launch Audacity.
  3. Edit → Preferences → Libraries.
  4. Click on “FFmpeg Library” Locate button.
  5. Browse → navigate to and double-click on “avformat-55.dll”
    in the following location:

C:Program Files (x86)FFmpeg for Audacity

  1. OK → OK.

Oops! Here’s the attached log file.
Audacity Log File.txt (39.4 KB)

FFmpeg v2.2.2 is for Audacity 2.0.6.
You are still using Audacity 2.0.5 which uses an older version of FFmpeg.

Audacity 2.0.6 is available here: http://audacityteam.org/download/

Ooh, new version…yay! Thanks.
