Hello buddies. I’m using Audacity 2.4.2 on Windows 10 Pro PC. I am not able to import any WEBM file into Audacity. Do I need to enable any option for it or install any specific plugin to operate the WebM file format? Any kind of feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Have you installed FFmpeg?
(See: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/installing_ffmpeg_for_windows.html)
I haven’t installed FFmpeg, however, I was able to solve it with a temporary fix. I used VLC to convert the Webm file to mp3, which I learned from here https://silicophilic.com/how-to-convert-webm-to-mp4-using-vlc. It is a temporary fix, so I will try installing FFmpeg as you suggested.
