Hello,
I just bought a Behringer UMC1820 to record drums and I’m having problems. When it’s set as the primary recording and playback device, I get no signal to the level indicators on audacity and can’t record. If the UMC is the primary input and the computer’s RealTek speakers are the playback device, it shows a signal and can record, but the sound is coming out of the computer speaker with latency. I am stymied. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
Note: using version 2.3.3 on Windows 10 with a windows seven emulator called Open Shell (I tried recording with the Open Shell removed but no difference).
Acoustic drums or electronic drums?
Which sound? The sound of your drums as you are playing them, or the sound of your backing track? It’s not clear what you are trying to do.
Recording acoustic drums.
Sound of my playing is coming through with latency.
