Every time I open the app, a long message in English appears that doesn’t get translated even when a different language is set. Furthermore, it pops up every single time, which is very frustrating. Audacity 4 remains in English even after changing the language settings. The track workspace stays dark despite being in Light Mode. I dislike dark backgrounds, yet I’m stuck with one even in the light theme. From this perspective, the software has gone downhill, it has lost its calm and restful light interface.
Did you read the message? Audacity 4 is alpha software, released to the community for testing.
You should not be doing regular production in Audacity 4.
What platform are you on? On Mac I have no trouble switching to the light UI mode.

Sure, I know it’s an alpha version, which is why I’m reporting these bugs.
I’m using Windows 10.
Switching between light and dark modes works fine, but there’s an issue with the light interface, everything is light except for the track background. It stays dark, but it should be much lighter in light mode. I’m not sure if it’s a bug or intentional, but it doesn’t look right. If I wanted a dark background, I’d just use the dark version.
The second bug is that the language settings don’t work, though maybe you’re only focusing on English for the alpha release.
Thanks for the GitHub tip and for your comment.
