Hello Audacity.
I have a one hour a week radio show. I downloaded Audacity 2.4.2 and use a Windows 10 Pro . A fellow DJ has been trying hard to train me but it’s so detailed.I can’t memorize everything. I have written notes but there’s so much that is in other sections of instructions. It leaves me overwhelmed. I need a complete step-by-step tutorial on every little detail in consecutive order. I do fade ins and fade outs. Is there anyone out there that is willing to give an old girl a list?
There’s free software specifically for DJs, e.g. Mixxx - Wikipedia
or to mix & record a live-stream … VB-Audio VoiceMeeter Banana
Hi Annette,
Perhaps if you outlined the steps in your current process people might have a better idea of what you are trying to achieve. Most people won’t be familiar with the process of doing a radio show. On YouTube there is an Englishman called Mike Russell who does tutorials on podcasts with Audacity, so you could glean some tips from him.
I would second Trebor’s suggestion of looking at Mixxx. I’m not a DJ but I’ve had hours of fun with that and recently learned how to broadcast directly from Mixxx to the internet. Mixxx allows you to record a set and then save the recording as MP3 or WAV or whatever.
