Track Keeps Muting After Export – What Am I Doing Wrong?

Hi everyone,

I’m having a weird issue and hoping someone here can help. I’ve edited a voiceover in Audacity (latest version on Windows 10), but after I export the project to MP3, one of the tracks sounds muted or super low volume, even though it plays fine inside Audacity.

  • I’ve checked:

  • The track is not muted

  • The gain is up

  • It’s included in the export selection

Is there something I might be missing during the export process? Could it be something with stereo/mono settings or effects I applied?

Appreciate any help, this one’s driving me a little nuts.

If a stereo track is in anti-phase it will become silent when mixed down to mono, (or if you listen on a mono device),
