Track did'n copy/move to WMP 12

Hi All

Newbie here.

I’m trying to copy old Tape Cassettes to my PC (Windows 7) to save as MP3s.

I am using Audacity 2.3.0

I can get the tape audio to Audacity on the PC, I create the beginning of the tracks with labels and remove ‘dead silence’. The audio plays well in Audacity.

I first put the Album Title and Artist in the metadata, then I ‘export to multiple’. I see all the tracks. Then I export it to My Music on the PC. All seem to copy fine except there is one track empty. The track number and name are there but the track is empty, no audio and no play length. Play it on WMP and it just skips over that empty slot.

Am I missing something since I’m new to this?

Thanks for any help.
Barb

If you re-open the MP3 in Audacity it’s probably also silent/empty…

I don’t know what happened but you should be able to re-open the original full-length file, select-highlight the “missing” song and then File → Export → Export Selected Audio.

Thanks very much for the info.

Went and selected the ‘missing’ track and exported as ‘export selected audio’ and it worked.

Thanks again
Barb
