There is no instruction on how to install and use FFMPEG 7.0

In Audacity 3.6.0 Changelog we are informed that it was added ffmpeg 7 support

But there is no instruction on how we can download and use FFMPEG 7 libraries. The links only direct to the old version, FFmpeg 5.0.0

Also, at Audacity ® | Downloads There is no link to download Open Vino to Audacity version 3.6.0

In addition, the new Audacity 3.6.0 still uses Opus Library 1.4. There has been version 1.5.2 for a long time, and I use it in Xmedia Recodo. So I have to export WAV in Audacity and use Xmedia Record to render on Opus version 1.5.2. I would like to be able to do all this just using Audacity 3.6.0. I made the comparison between the audio Opus exported by Audacity with the exported by the Xmedia Recode, and the difference between Opus 1.4 and Opus 1.5.2 is immense.

This page lists some alternative builds of FFmpeg: Installing FFmpeg | Audacity Support

They won’t install themselves to the folder Audacity checks automatically though.

There is one in Effect → Get AI Effects… though.

We haven’t had the manpower to upgrade this yet. In the meantime you can use the (external program) exporter option to use other encoders.

This “Effect” you mentioned does not appear at any link derived from https://www.audacityteam.org

That’s because I’m talking about the menu in Audacity.
