IMHO, the “Audacity 4.0 is here!” banner above every post being so long that it requires vertical scrolling just makes it less effective.
Better if the banner be a short text that merely LINKS to the announcement post, not the entire contents of the announcement post itself. Let the size of the banner frame dictate the size of the banner.
