Hi there! I use Audacity to piece together concert performances.
I’ll dig online for all the audience videos, rip the audio from all of them, and try to piece them together for a better audio experience. I’ve been doing it for a while on my own, but there’s always some type of issue I run into.
Is there a way to align multiple audio tracks of differing audio quality and starting points together?
There is no automated way to align clips from different sound sources that I know of. Find a really loud sound and with multi-view enabled on the clips, align them visually.
I have never done that at a concert, but I have done it at a conference. The combined tracks sounded much more interesting than any of them alone, with different conversations being recorded in different parts of the room.
I brought a clicker, like animal trainers use, to align the audio clips, but I couldn’t find it when I got there. I ended up using a loud sound when somebody dropped something to align with.
