Switched from analog to digital output from PC. No signal to Audacity (2.3.0, Win 10 64).
I use Audacity once and twice per year, usually to record something that is in my browser.
I’m not sure if the change of receiver has anything to do with my problem, but that is basically all that has changed the past year or two.
One thing you can try - Make sure to start the playback before clicking Record. Loopback can’t initialize if there is no existing audio stream. There doesn’t have to be sound… It can be a silent stream…
The playback stream is running continuously (radio station in browser).
I found a workaround: Switch from optical/digital playback to analog (monitor speakers).
But, I would still like to find out why Audacity can’t use my digital stream as a source.
