Studio Fade Out Creating A New Clip...Why?

Hi…I’ve been using Studio Fade Out for quite sometime, but its behavior changed this morning and I’m wondering why. Instead of simply fading the selected audio, Studio Fade Out now creates a new clip out of the faded audio.

Has anyone else noticed this? Might I have accidentally changed a setting that is causing this? I’ve looked at the Preferences and can’t find anything that deals with this. Any help would be much appreciated…

It’s a bug.
Try making a small adjustment to the position that the selection starts and then apply the effect (Undo, adjust, then apply the effect).
