I recorded a two-hour podcast last night; I then imported my co-host audio this morning as well as our intro music. Saved the project and when I got back, I keep getting the error message, “Project is corrupt (Unable to work with the blockfiles)”. Is there anything I can do to restore it or is it just gone?
It sounds like you didn’t save the project file or export the audio after recording and before editing, but if you did, and your Windows system has restore points enabled, it might be possible to restore it by right clicking on the filename in Windows Explorer, then Properties, then Previous Versions.
Windows system restore will not bring back deleted user data, it just restores the OS to a previous state.
I used the words “restore points enabled” when I should have used the words “file history enabled”.
Other than that, everything else in the post is correct.
Hey, I just spent the last day uploading my file to Google Drive. Is there an email I should send it to?
I recovered the project using Audacity project tools and sent it back to the OP. I know it’s been downloaded but they have not confirmed whether the result is OK, leaving things in limbo.
