I have a cassette player hooked up to my computer in the blue line in jack, when I record all I get is stastic. any ideas?
Are you getting any signal at all? Or static-only?
Have you selected [u]Line-In[/u] as your Recording Device?
It that doesn’t help, try plugging headphones or your computer speakers into the cassette player to make sure you’re getting something out. (I’m assuming you’ve got a portable cassette recorder and your connecting to the headphone output?)
Or, try plugging something else into your soundcard… Your CD or DVD player, etc., to test your computer & software.
