Splitting a song with two sets of vocals

I apologise if this has already been asked, however, I checked and found nothing so I hope I’m good to post this here!
I have a song that I want to split up and it consists over me singing over another song (idk why i did that tbh)
I was wondering if there’s any way that I could split my singing and the original song up to get my own vocals?
I hope someone out there can help me,
Thanks, Aria

Oh, it’s been asked. But it hasn’t been answered very well.

Audacity has Effect > Vocal Reduction and Isolation.

But the rule is we can’t take a mixed performance apart into individual instruments, voices and sounds. Even if we succeed, the result will not be “musical.” An exercise in computer technology, not something you’ll want to listen to for enjoyment.

There are some very specific situations where this can be done…

If you have the original digital track and your voice was mixed-in digitally and you didn’t otherwise “touch” the files - You can invert the original track and mix it with the one that has your voice and the original tracks will cancel, leaving your voice. The inverted version has to be identical to the music in the mixed track and exactly-time aligned or it won’t cancel.

Or since it’s your own voice you want, you can sing it again while listening to the original “backing track” on headphones so only your voice gets picked-up buy the microphone and recorded.
