Split audio clip into multiple without quality loss?

Hello,
I have an AC3 file which I extracted from an MKV file, from a DVD I bought.
It’s one long concert and now that I have the audio extracted, I would like to cut it into each track.
I installed FFMPEG for Audacity so now it will open and I can cut it up.
Source file is AC3 192kbps 48000hz. If when exporting each track, I choose the same format, bitrate, sample rate(AC3, 192kbps, 48000hz), will I avoid quality loss?
My understanding is that converting the lossy AC3 codec to other codecs results in some quality loss. I don’t know if my technique is simply a cut of the track ONLY and avoiding converting anything.
Thank you

You can import the audio from the DVD into audacity …

If you export in WAV or FLAC format there is no quality loss, (but the file sizes will be bigger).
