Split a track exactly in half

This was requested on Audacity discord, so I thought it might be helpful to post the macro here on the forum as well.
Split track in half.txt (523 Bytes)

How to import the macro into Audacity’s Macro Manager: Macro Manager - Audacity Manual

Once the macro is installed, you could create a keyboard shortcut to apply the macro. See: Shortcuts Preferences - Audacity Manual

To use the macro:

  1. Click on the track that you want to split.
  2. Run the macro.
