Spitfish de esser plug-in working good? but too good

Hi!
I’m using Windows 10 home 64bit.
Newest version of Audacity (well unless something came out in July)

I’m having success with De esser setting freq to 8k and depth to aboout 20% However, when I select ie the word “Happiness” and APPLY. I can’t hear "happy when I Listen, and after I APPLY, it removes Happy and softens the ness. Is there a squelch, is the trick in the Sensitivity? See snip attached. I have Sense down to 10% or lower.

I noticed that too.

The (free) desibilator plugin is better: it’s muti-band, (Spitfish only has 1).
