Speeding up for editing only

Hello

I want to be able to speed up the play back of a recording for editing purposes only.

I am using version 3.7.7 on Linux mint.

It is a 1 hour speech only podcast with 2 presenters.

However, using the ‘play at speed’ tool results in a ‘chipmunk’ effect. Suggestions and ‘help’ from Gemini do not seem available in my version.

Any advice in in allowing me to achieve a 1.5 speed without chipmunking would be appreciated.
