Soundflower audio capture on Catalina?

Since I’ve read about the successful workarounds to get Audacity to work on Catalina, I recently moved one of my laptops to Mac OSX 10.15.4
I had a question about using an alternative to Soundflower in that environment.

On my older (non-Catalina) Macs I have successfully used Soundflower for years. From the posts here, it seems that Soundflower has reliability issues with 64-bit Catalina. What audio channel management software are most of you using on Catalina with Audacity?

Thanks

it seems that Soundflower has reliability issues with 64-bit Catalina.

Soundflower is a 32-bit app.

Can you bump the machine back to Mojave or High Sierra? The Party Line is Catalina doesn’t support Audacity in its current form, so it’s more entertaining than you think.

Yes, hence my question. If there’s an alternative to Soundflower, I’d be interested in hearing any recommendations.

I’m not migrating my main Mac to Catalina until Audacity 2.4 with explicit Catalina support. But I’ll still need a replacement for the audio management software once that happens.

Last time I visited the Rogue Amoeba page, they had thousands of postings begging them to come out with a 64 bit version.

I have no idea if that works or not. That was a Google search.

The free version of “iShowU Audio Capture” works for me on Catalina:
