Sound to my Mac

I have used my old iMac to record my Vinyl with Audacity using a Behringer UCA202 converter. I think this converts from Analog to Digital. I have recently purchased a new iMac with M4 chip, thunderbolt sockets and running Tahoe 26.3. I wonder if someone could tell me how to get the turntable sound into the Mac. I have plugged the Behrininger in via a USB- C to USB converterI and am getting no sound and no recording. I seem to remember using Soundflower in the past do I need to use this again. Thanks.

System settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone
Grant access to Audacity by dragging the switch next to Audacity to the right.

Soundflower is (or was) used to redirect sound playing from the Internet and use it with Audacity (and other programs). Soundflower is - as far as I know - no longer available; you can use BlackHole instead.
