Using a Blue Yeti mic for podcast - looks like it is recording but there is no sound coming from my Mac speakers? Any help? I am sure I am just missing something simple. Thanks
If you have blue waves and a bouncing sound meter, then you are making a recording whether or not you can hear it.
Never run speakers and a live microphone in the same room. You should be on headphones.
Look at the Device Toolbar and make sure it’s speaker is pointing in the right place.
Then make sure Playthrough is selected.
Audacity > Preferences > Recording > [X] Software Playthrough (select).
It is highly recommended that you listen to the Yeti rather than the Mac. The Mac voice is going to come out late or with an echo. No, you can’t get rid of that.
