Sound effects from Musehub

Hello.
My name is Marco. I am blind user of Audacity. Actually I don’t know, where to post It so, I have decided to post It to this forum.
I would like to use sound effects from Muse hub. It is Your sister project. Problem is, that drag & drop

What is it that you are trying to ask ?

Those sounds are part of Musehub application. I know, that Musehub is part of same people, like Audacity and I can’t drag and drop with My screen reader sounds from Musehub application to My computer.

Perhaps @David_Bailes can shed some light on this situation.

I’m not sure how much the musehub team has tested on blind users, but you can ask them here: https://musehub.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/requests/new

I don’t know how users of screen readers are meant to be able to do this.

I’ve put in a request for how to copy Muse Hub sounds to Audacity using the keyboard, and will report back when I receive a reply.

Maybe It’ll be different solution, but I don’t know, if It’ll be better, or no.
In import menu in the file menu of the alt menu, there will be special item named ‘Import sounds from the muse sound fx library’. After that, Musehub sound effects library will be loaded and there will be search box, tree view, list view, button for preview sound and button for download (import) sound to Audacity project. What do You think about this idea?
Thank You.
Marco

Hi Marco,
I think it’s unlikely that the Audacity team would want to replicate the functionality of browsing, searching and previewing the items in Muse Hub’s Sounds library.
An alternative might be to be able to copy from Muse Hub and paste into Audacity using either the Windows clipboard or Audacity’s clipboard. I don’t know how straightforward this would be to do. Would you be happy with such a solution?
MuseHub would also have to improve the accessibility for users of screen readers. For example, in the list of sounds, the name of the sound is not automatically read when you navigate the list, and the only way to read it is using object navigation.

Yeah, It’ll be better idea. Also, some VST plugins from Musehub are not accessible with Audacity, for example Pitch fix. Question is, how to do that? There are not blind developers, so We will have to explain this problem and also, how to solve this issue.

The problem with the Muse VST plugins has already been logged as a bug. It hasn’t been assigned a priority yet, so I’m not sure when it will get fixed:
