Sorting tracks by the "number sort" used by windows

hello everyone, I’m using the latest version, audacity v2.3.1
I’m using this software to join audio files together, and i really loved this software, but the problem is when i import audio files into audacity, they are sorted in a weird way

lets say I have 50 audio files that i want to join, and they are labeled from 1 to 50, in windows folder i see them arranged from 1 to 50 in counting order. So far, so good.

but when I import the same files into audacity, the order is changed… meaning it goes like this…
1,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,2,20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,3,30,31,32,33,34,35,36,37,38,39,4,40,41,42,43,44,45,46,47,48,49,5,50

is there any way i can fix this, or maybe a plug-in that can help regarding this issue, please help
there are no way i can rename them, (like renaming the files: 01, 02, 03…) because i have lots of audio files i want to join, and there are no way to manually change the order in audacity because this will take forever
the audio files are downloaded from Internet, for a particular series, that have 75 episodes, so for each episode i have downloaded more than 200 audio files, and they are named respectively from 1 to 200…

That’s not “weird”, it is standard “alphanumeric order”.

What are the exact and full file names (including file extension)? (just a couple of “actual” examples)

Add a leading zero so they are all 2-digits/characters (or 2 leading zeros if there are more than 100 episodes):

02
03
04…

If you join them all together as one long file, how are you going to find a particular episode?

I don’t know how long these episodes are but if you happen to be making a WAV file, note that there is a 4GB file size limit. (Most other audio formats don’t have a size limit.)
