Every time I close Audacity 4, my shortcuts get removed/reset. Specifically I’m setting a CTRL+Shift+L shortcut for ‘Silence’. I did a few others as well, but I got tired of resetting them every time so the silence one is my primary test case right now.
I made sure I’m up to date on the latest version. I hope this is another stupid me issue with an easy fix. I’m on Windows.

No, it’s not you. It’s a stupid Audacity issue.
I run Linux, and was considering installing Windows (blech!) on a spare machine to see if Audacity 4 would behave better for me. It appears that may be a waste of time, but I may still try it.
BTW, I’m actually the one who submitted the bug report on Github.
Well, glad it’s not just me. But bummer there’s no fix yet.
FWIW I’m on Mac and my custom shortcuts don’t disappear. They’re in a shortcuts.xml file. It might be worth finding that file on your system and looking at it, maybe deleting it so Audacity will re-create it next time it starts?
