Selection Toolbar

I am trying to export a 5 second clip from a longer file. I set the in/out points with the Selection Toolbar at the bottom of the screen. A blue shaded area appears on the timeline above, but not the waveform area. When I press play, it loops the section I want to export, but when I click File>Export Audio, the Current Selection option is grayed out under Export Range. So I guess the audio section is NOT selected yet? I tried a few options under Select at the top, but it’s still not selected. I thought using the Selection Toolbar actually selects the audio, no?

It works with exactly 5 seconds - it does not work with exactly 4 seconds. Your selection is probably too small…
