Screen Resets When Selecting a Track

On Mac Audacity 3.7.8, the screen resets to the top of the project every time you click on a track.

Steps:

  1. Add enough tracks to require scrolling
  2. Scroll down to a track and select it (left click on name to Select All)
  3. Screen resets to the top

I’m not seeing this with Audacity 3.7.8 on a Macbook Pro M4 with macOS 26.5.1.

Here is a screen recording.

You can see it occurs when clicking the leftmost track selection box. It also is not 100% repeatable. The 2nd track I select doesn’t reset the screen, but the 1st and 3rd tracks I select do.

Well, that clearly shows the problem. But I still can’t reproduce it.

Does it do it with just this project, or with any project?

Would you be able to go to Github and log it as an issue?
