I downloaded this app from Google Play, and it seems like a scam app. Recorded a take, and the sound is only in the beginning. What can I do? Really need what I recorded:(
The app was called RecVoice and in the contact information the said they were Audacity
You should ask the authors of that specific app. And, maybe, complain with Google. To my knowledge, Audacity (the one here) does not have any mobile app.
The developer is called Audacity IT Solutions Limited.
I’m not a lawyer but it’s probably not a trademark violation since audacity is an English word and they are not using the same trademark symbol.
And, there is no Android or iOS version of the real Audacity.
In the iOS App Store, the company is called either “COBY PET HOSPITAL COMPANY LIMITED” or “COBY PET COMPANY@”, see picture. Well, yes… we’ll surely trust a pet hospital for recording software…
I should also add: A pet care / hospital company in Saigon, Vietnam. On their website there is no mention of “Audacity”…
