I am processing a set of tracks which have similar but different equalization and stereo panning issues. I could prepare a macro to process them all at once, but as the settings need to be slightly different for each, I need to check them individually before processing.
To do that, I load the track, activate the real time effects, load the plugins on by one and select my base settings before I can start tweeting the parameters.
Having the possibility do define a set with the plugins I want to use (and the base settings I want) and load it in one click for each track would be a real time saver.
Audacity’s built-in effects have “Presets and Settings” button. In there you can save your settings as custom presets, which allows you to conveniently select your saved settings. See here for details: Manage Presets - Audacity Manual
Thanks for the answer, but that’s not what I’m talking about.
What I would like is a way to load several realtime effects (and associated presets) at once - instead of loading each effect and applying the presets. In fact, it could be like the macros system, but instead of applying the effects to the track in a destructive way, just load them as realtime effects.
