I have been running Audacity for a long while under Vista Home Premium, I opted to update (mmm, wise?) i no longer have Audacity!
I have attempted to re-download, but Audacity wont run claiming file api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing. any advice?
You will need to update “Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable” which can be downloaded from Microsoft.
You will need the vc_redist.x86.exe version from here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads
